HISSA™
HISSA™ is Fortuna Energy's flagship battery platform a novel architecture that pairs hybrid intercalation chemistry with an all-solid-state electrolyte matrix to overcome the fundamental limitations of today's lithium-ion systems.
Where conventional batteries trade energy density for safety, or longevity for cost, HISSA™ is engineered to deliver across every dimension simultaneously.
The result is a platform battery architecture purpose-built for grid-scale stationary storage, next-generation EV powertrains, and long-duration energy applications without the thermal runaway risk or cycle degradation of liquid-electrolyte predecessors.
HISSA™ is currently advancing toward DOE SBIR Phase I application and university research partnership positioning Fortuna Energy for non-dilutive federal funding and academic co-development at the forefront of solid-state battery commercialization.
